Welcome to Charm Box (“we”, “us”, or “the App”). We understand the importance of your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, share, and protect information when you use our mobile application and related services (collectively, the “Service”).
By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
The Service is intended for users aged 13 and above. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that such information has been collected, we will delete it promptly. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided information without consent, please contact us.
This policy applies to the Charm Box Android application. We follow a data-minimization approach and only process information needed for the features you choose to use.
We collect only the information reasonably necessary to provide the Service. Depending on the features you use, this may include:
• Nickname: optional display name in Settings
• Birthday and gender: optional fields used as defaults for some tools (e.g. outfit inspiration)
This profile data is stored locally on your device (e.g. via the App’s local storage). We do not operate a mandatory user account or email login in the current version of the App.
When you use certain features, you may upload or capture images and provide text inputs, including:
These images and prompts are transmitted to our server (backend for frontend, “BFF”) so we can request AI-generated results from our technology partners. We do not use your photos to build advertising profiles or sell them to data brokers.
• Generated text and images: results returned by AI services (outfit suggestions, try-on outputs, hair-style previews, palm/face readings, daily greetings)
• History records: saved on your device by default so you can view past results in the App
• Language preference: to display the interface in English or Chinese
• App version and basic diagnostics: to maintain stability and security
• Network requests: when the App communicates with our servers (e.g. timestamps, request metadata necessary for API operation)
We do not currently integrate third-party analytics SDKs for behavioral tracking beyond what is described in this policy and in the first-launch notice (including DCloud uni-app engine requirements, if applicable).
On Android, we may request permissions needed for features:
We do not perform continuous background location tracking. If location is enabled, location context may be transmitted with the current request to our servers and connected AI services only to generate the current result.
System permission labels vary by Android version and device manufacturer. You can allow or deny permissions in device Settings; denying a permission may limit related features. The App is built with uni-app (DCloud). Device identifiers may be collected as described in the first-launch privacy notice and in the DCloud App Engine Privacy Policy.
• You can use Charm Box without creating a mandatory account or submitting identity documents.
• Except for images required to run selected AI features, optional profile information is stored locally on your device by default and is not uploaded by us for unrelated purposes.
• Images required for feature processing are used to generate outputs only. We do not intentionally link those images with direct identity records to build personal dossiers or perform personal identification.
We use information solely for the following purposes:
At launch, the App may display a full-screen app open advertisement provided by Google AdMob.
If you are in the EEA, UK, or Switzerland, you can change or withdraw ad consent at any time via Settings → Legal & Privacy → Ad privacy choices.
We do not use your palm, face, try-on, or hair-style photos for unrelated purposes such as training public marketing datasets without your separate consent, unless required by law or clearly disclosed at the time of collection.
• On your device: profile fields, history lists, language settings, and cached greetings where applicable
• On our servers: images and prompts are processed transiently or for the duration necessary to complete your request; we do not intend to retain uploaded photos longer than needed for service delivery and security
• With service infrastructure required for feature processing: image and prompt processing may occur on infrastructure we use to generate results; storage location and retention follow applicable legal and security requirements
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures, including:
No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.
Local history remains until you delete it or uninstall the App. Server-side logs and processing artifacts are retained only as long as necessary for operations, security, and legal compliance, then deleted or anonymized where feasible.

- With service providers (such as AI and hosting partners) strictly to operate the Service
- When you direct us to do so by using a feature that requires transmission
- To comply with laws, regulations, court orders, or lawful government requests
